“Authorities across Europe are turning to drones in a bid to catch farmers who may be ignoring EU farming regulations or claiming illegal subsidies. The drones can be used to catch offenders who have ignored regulations and felled trees or illegally dumped farm chemicals. Drones can also be used in places where a lack of clear skies makes using satellites unsuitable.

“Protesters in Athens are clashing with police, some throwing stones and Molotov cocktails. Greece’s coalition government managed to agree on a new austerity deal their creditors demanded.

But Eurozone finance ministers say they want to see concrete action before the second bailout worth 130 billion Euros can be handed over. The Greek Parliament is expected to vote on Sunday. But a junior coalition member says he will not back the new plan.

*Standard & Poors Downgrades 34 Italian Banks

“Rating agency Standard & Poor’s downgraded 34 Italian banks on Friday, including heavyweights UniCredit and Intesa Sanpaolo, citing a reduced ability to roll over their wholesale debt and expected weak profitability.

The move follows S&P’s downgrade of Italy’s sovereign rating last month to BBB+, part of a mass downgrade of nine euro zone countries.”
